********CHECK OUT PART 1 HERE: ANNUAL SEATTLE BOARD FEST '12********
Our adventure began Friday at 4:30pm eager to beat traffic and get to our amazingly beautiful and rustic cabin deep in the Cascade Mountains. It was in a small ski/board community called Snowline with clusters of cabins and tons of forest.
We settled in to our 3 story home for the weekend with our 11 housemates. This part was easy, we are all ready to kick back, relax, and have some fun!
We grilled some grub, mixed some cocktails and pulled out the games!
There was immediately a puzzling group...
The more raucous rallied the troupes for a wild game of Cranium.
Team 2 "diaper rash"
Team 3 "secret garden"
Team 4 "moo crew" - Not Pictured
Chrissy, Melissa, & Andrew
The Game Board
Hilarity ensued
<---Us, laughing at--->
"Playing the guitar?"
After the Friday festivities we went to bed dreaming of the next days adventure.
Saturday morning we all woke up eager to get to the mountain. We were able to get 11 people up and ready by 8:30am. It was a perfect day - clear, sunny and over 175 inches of snowpack.
A lovely day at the hill...
After the snow adventures we hustled back to the cabin and took some time to soak in the hot tub. Later, Aaron, Mike & Dom made us a spaghetti dinner feast. Then it was back to Cranium! Good thing we had taken a photo of the board so we knew where to pick it back up.
On the last day, Sunday, we parted ways. Some headed straight home while others met up for a cup of joe at the Wake N Bakery.
But only 5 of us stuck around for the most amazing snow shoeing experience! We drove back to Baker and found many a trail to hike. This was many of our "first time in a long time" back in snow shoes and it was a wonderful time.
Some of the favorites...
We all got a panoramic with the mountains
Then, it was back to Seattle. But first!
A photo shoot of Ben's car
We drove home tired and happy.
The trip was winding down with many new friends and memories made.
By Tuesday Aaron, Mike & Dom had waved goodbye to Seattle.
But not before enjoying many, many cups of coffee as caffeine is what fuels our beautiful city!
Goodbye friends, we'll see you soon!
