Bridal Shower

I went home at the end of May for a week. I got sooo much wedding planning done thanks to all the help from my awesome family and the best maids of honor a girl could ask for!
It was exciting because I finally got to meet my newest niece Clara Lillian. Isn't she adorable!?

While I was home Amy & Heidi hosted a bridal shower at my mom's house. It turned out great and was a lot of fun to see everyone.

Even Ben made an appearance via DVD answering those tough marriage questions. Here I am anticipating his responses. All in all we did pretty good. We both know I was the prowess in the relationship and initiated the first kiss, we both are in agreement to have 2.5 kids, and we both know that if it was up to me I would like in a different spot around the world each year. We definitely did not know what our own annoying habits were but we had opinions about the others habits...Ben's - picking toe nails in bed. Mine - lifting Ben's shirt so his boxers show in public.

There was quiet a spread of food and a delicious butterfly cake.
If you look behind the food there was a line up of all my prior school pictures from Kindergarten through High School. The most apparent thing was that my eyebrows just grew and grew and grew like a lovely caterpillar! Luckily by junior year the waxing gods came and saved me from the insects growing on my face.
I got so many lovely gifts that day!
Everyone really out did themselves and I am so thankful for all we received. Here are few examples of the wonderfulness :)

I really felt like a princess - the crown they had me wear helped too :)

I can't wait to be an Egan!!!

Memorial Day Weekend 2010

Hello and welcome back to the dynamic duo's blog. This year for the Memorial Day weekend Chrissy headed back home to MN for a wedding, bridal shower and wedding planning. I on the other hand had to stay here and hold down the fort. If you remember last year at this time we went camping at the Gorge in George WA. (See Memorial Day Weekend Part 1) This year we decided to continue the tradition and return to the promise land that is the desert of Washington.

This year was not nearly as hot (70's vs. 95+). Although what it lacked in heat it made up for in Wind. Crazy wind. I guess that's why it's a great location for a giant wind farm.

We did lots of rock climbing and hiking while we were there. Unfortunately it was not nearly warm enough to take a swim in the frigid waters of the columbia river. We did however have a good group of people go including Milo, the family dog (technically he's Chirag's dog, but he's pretty much all of ours). Although his given name is Milo, his birth name is really Falcor (Never ending story reference)

It was a great weekend and something we plan to do again every year. Traditions are the key to fun! Enjoy this video recap!
