The Big Day

We're Back! I just want to start off by telling everybody who either helped us in any way with the wedding or was there for support, THANK YOU! It was such a beautiful and perfect wedding and we couldn't have done it without you guys. We wish we could do it again, and again. It went by wayyyy to quick but I guess that's expected. We had so much fun and we so happy that everyone else did too. Jesse and Jacob gave it two thumbs up.

So knowing that we had a photographer(s) to take pictures of us, I didn't burden myself with taking to many pictures. Therefore there are not many here. But I promise I will be posting the pictures that Mckenzie and Greg took the second I get them. Until then here are a couple of the guys getting all dressed up.

When we got back to our suite that night Chrissy gave me her wedding gift which turned out to be a Mini-Moon in the San Juan Islands!!! She rented this cozy little cabin on a farm and it was so romantic. It was so great getting an escape from the city and the stress of real life. The San Juan Islands are about 2 hours north and a 45min ferry ride west. The island we stayed on was called Lopez Island and it was about 7 miles wide and 16 miles long. It was nice because there wasn't an overwhelming amount of tourists and a good amount of locals that had some great shops and homemade goods. The first night we got there later in the night and just sat outside and starred at the beautiful stars. They were so bright and clear and there were soooo many of them. We even saw a couple shooting stars!

Saturday we walked into town and rented bikes for the day. BTW, it is great to ride bikes! If you haven't done it in awhile, you need to. This helped solidify the fact that we NEED to get our own bikes. We biked down to a place called Sharks Reef which is giant rock formations that otters and sea lions lay on to bask in the sun. In the background was the gorgeous Olympic mountains with Mount Olympus. The water looked so blue and refreshing on a 90+ degree day that I just wanted to dive in, But the temperature of the water was around 40 deg so I thought better of doing it.

After biking around the island all day and getting a lower body work out we went to rent kayaks to go on a 3 hour tour around the nearby islands. We got to enjoy the Puget Sound/Pacific up close and personal including holding starfish and playing hide and seek with the otters. Magnificent! Afterwards we stopped in to the local pharmacy that was serving fresh ice cream treats. Omm Nom Nom Nom!

We ended the night in our own private Jacuzzi! Sunday we drove the rest of the island to see the beautiful beaches. The southern tip gave us the best view of Mount Baker I have ever seen. So serene and peaceful! I could retire here. The Evo even got to do some rallying!!!

All in all it was an absolutely great vacation and I couldn't think of a better mini-moon! Thank you so much Chrissy! You are such a wonderful wife. I love you!

Below is some random-ish pictures that don't fit chronologically but are added because they need to be. Here was my wedding gift to Chrissy since she has been asking for them for like a year or two or 5 now. BONGOS!

Here is a couple pictures from my bachelor party. I had to wear a "Ball and Chain" which was an actual 12 lb bowling ball cemented to a giant chain. That thing was heavy, no joke.

We drove by this cool van in Chicago

Matt took pictures of his can and I know he wants to see them

La Crosse is Beautiful

BTW, Here is the videos of the dances at the wedding. "Dance Dance Dance, AWESOME!"
