Happy New Year!! A look back at 2010....

January
In January of 2010 Ben started his career at Stratus Automation! He has really enjoyed his job there up until now and learned a lot. There were many challenges and stressful times he faced, but has grown a lot!

Last January Mike & Aaron also came to visit us in Seattle. We did some snowboarding - looking forward to doing it again this January!

February
My parents came to visit us last year for a nice long week over Valentine's day. We had such a good time despite the RAIN! Even Amy, Aaron, and Alexis made it to "sunny" Seattle.

March
In March my best friend Courtney visited AND my college roommates Shauna & Briana came out with their boyfriends! We did a bit of hiking with both parties. We took Courtney to Discovery Park and went hiking at Mt. Rainier with Shauna and Jeremy. It was a great month!

April
In April we got to fly away to JAMAICA for my dear friend Melissa (aka Peick) and her hilarious husband Rodney's wedding :) The wedding in Negril was beautiful and picture perfect. Destination weddings are dreamy!

At the end of April my oldest friend Hilary came to Seattle just before she moved away to Madagascar for the Peace Corp! We had a wonderful time together as you can see from the pic. She is one amazing chick!

May
May was the month of my bridal shower and when our wedding finally seemed real! My sister Amy and Sister in law Heidi threw me a wonderful party. It was so much fun seeing friends and family. And of course trying on my wedding dress!

In May, Becky, a friend of mine from College was also married in La Crosse! I was so fortunate to be able to be home so I could attend. The wedding was gorgeous and the bride stunning!

June
In June we got down to serious business with the wedding planning, noses to the grindstone! We did make time to get to a Mariner's game to watch them lose.

July
One month until our wedding! Last chance for some single fun! Both of us had our bachlor/bachlorette parties! (Ben will have to add photos from his bash since I don't have any...maybe that was on purpose!?)

AUGUST, August 7th to be exact!
Ben and I become the Egan Family!!! Our wedding in La Crosse was the best day of our lives. We were surrounded by all those who we love so much and it went off without a hitch! We still dream of the day and wish we could re-live it.

September

In September Ben's brother Jesse, and best friend Matt came out to Seattle for Ben's 27th birthday and a DMB show at the Gorge. It was probably the best DMB show I have ever seen! We had fun hiking at Ira Spring trail, eating seafood, and doing wobble faces!

October
Oktoberfest!! Our first experience of Oktoberfest in Leavenworth was a success! Lots of beer and wieners were consumed. Ben even rode a mountain goat :)

November
In November we enjoyed Thanksgiving with friends and I made my first turkey (which I hope everyone enjoyed b/c I won't be doing that again ;). We even made it to Portland for a holiday get away to Deshutes & Rogue breweries!

December
Our first Christmas without family:( But we made the best of it with Skype! I also snuck in a trip to Utah to see my parents and the Triple A's for a late thanksgiving, and early Christmas and New Years! It was magical :)

We had a GREAT 2010 and look forward to what 2011 has to offer when we move into our new HOUSE on Jan. 10th!

Love,
The Egans

Utah Trip Dec. 9-13

Hello there, Chrissy here. I was able to get a quick trip in to see my parents and the Triple A's to celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years all in 4 short days. We really packed it in! I got in Thursday night and got settled and caught up with Amy, Aaron and Alexis. Early the next morning Aaron and I went to Snowbird for a day of snowboarding. It was beautiful up there ...from what I could see. It was a blustering day and the snow/sleet came pouring down for much of the day. At one point we couldn't even really see and would randomly hit a snow pile because there was no depth perception. It was pretty amazing to be able to snowboard at one of the top snowboarding locations in the US. Later that afternoon we headed home and my parents were at the house and had recently arrived. That night we got dinner at a great Central American restaurant, delish.
Saturday morning we woke up to Amy making us omelets. Then the boys had a Big Lebowski day of bowling, drinking, and discussing how the rug really tied the room together.
The girls had a shopping day at the outlet mall! There were some good deals and it was just fun to shop with the girls! Even Alexis had fun. Here we are at lunch.

Alexis ate her doll's hair for lunch.

That night we played Upwords & eucher while eating Christmas cookies...yum!

Sunday was our "Christmas". We woke up and went to church. Lexi was entertaining and smiling at everyone around us :) Afterwords we ate an entire mass of Monkey Bread while listening to Alabama Christmas (as most Meier Christmas' go). Then presents!~
Preston got me an awesome gift! It's a certificate to make any print into a canvas. In addition I got a Preston "baseball card" and Preston bookmark. Can't beat that!

Lexi got books from the Meier's and grandma and grandpa. She loved them all.

I got dad a picture of us from the wedding!
G&G gave Lexi a princess baby, which she adored. She even puked on it to show her appreciation :)
Amy got from her KK (me) some Body shop goods that smelled wonderful.

Grandma made Lexi some adorable little animals for her Noah's ark gift she got last year. The rooster and crocodile were my personal favorites.
It was a beautiful day. Here is the view from right outside their house.

That night A&A had prepared a fondue! Complete with steak, shrimp, mushrooms, bread & cheese, and a nice salad.

On my last day in Utah we went to the fabulous Red Iguana for a Mexican lunch. Lexi loves dips and kept dipping her chips in some HOT salsa. She really loved the taste, but didn't know what to do about the heat. She heat making some pretty funny faces trying to deal with it while Amy was trying to get her to drink some milk to sooth the spice.

Then we went to a shopping area in Salt Lake before I had to be dropped off at the airport. There was a nice Christmas tree, photo op!

It was a fabulous time but I wish I could be with family on the REAL Christmas too! Maybe next year!

Merry Christmas everyone !!!
