Utah!

I have never been to Utah before. So this year we decided it would be a lot of fun to take the 13 hour road trip to visit the Schauers. It was fun to get on the road and check out Eastern Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah. It made things go a lot quicker knowing what fun was awaiting us!

There were three things on my list that I really wanted to do in Utah. The first thing was go out on the boat. And that we did! I would have been content just getting out on the water. But I got to go wake boarding, surfing AND inter tubing. Woot Woot! So much fun! The water was glass as well. Swell.

Mad Air Yo!

Aaron's got skillz

Look at how beautiful the view from the boat was

Chrissy was a pro at wake boarding and showed us how easy it was to get up

Amy showed off her aquatic aerobic tricks. Tommy Bartlett here she comes!

After a day in the sun, we got off the water just in time to miss the light rain. We headed home, changed and headed out to Salt Lake City for dinner. We had a delicious meal then met up with Aaron's brother Todd, Cody and Matthew for some frozen yogurt (of course). Can't go wrong with Frozen Yogurt.

The next day we headed to the mountains to engage in my second request. GUNS!!!

Oh man how fun was that! So great! We shot the .22 and 9mm handgun at the target range. We then headed over to the skeet/trap area to shoot some clay pigeons. I have never shot a shotgun before, but there is something about obliterating a clay disc with a 12-gauge shotgun that just puts a smile on your face. :) Just look at how bad A these girls look with guns. Hot :)

After settling from the adrenaline high, we headed up to Squaw peak to catch a beautiful sunset. While we waited, we got pictures of the crew with Orem in the background.

And then went the sun

Back for more pictures

Breathtaking

The next day we headed toward Park City and stopped to do some waterfall hiking on the way.

We stopped in Park City to grab a bite to eat at a delicious brewery called Wastach Brew, home of the Polygamy Porter.

Of course I had to try the 8% ABV Devastator Dopplebock. YUM!

There was a street fair going on so we went to check things out. But we got distracted by a bear.

The further we got into the fair, the louder we heard some banging music. Turns out it was a 20+ person group from Portland, Oregon called March Forth. They were awesomely eclectic. With just about every instrument you could think of, dancers, costumes and even people on stilts, they put on an incredible show.

On our way out we saw a beautiful Lotus. I of course had to snap a pic or two.

We then headed up to where Amy and Aaron's old cottage was. Nestled deep in the mountains, placed happily in a valley of other perfect cabins, was a whole community. Trees, cottages, parks, lakes and deer lined the area. This was where we got to do what I had had in mind for my third and final request. Four Wheelin!

All of us took the trip around to check out some of Aaron's previous build sites. This guys got talent and has built some impressive places. We then dropped the girls off and went for some real fun. Oh yes, we pushed the four wheelers to the limit and got into some school boy mischief. I took a lot of video and will put it together soon. I'm in the process of learning some new video editing software so once I'm up to speed I'll throw something together. Stay Tuned.

We then headed back to Seattle the next day. It was so much fun and wish it could have been longer. By the triple A's we wonderful hosts and definitely make me want to come back, soon and often. Thanks again for everything! Love You Guys!
