Utah Trip Dec. 9-13

Hello there, Chrissy here. I was able to get a quick trip in to see my parents and the Triple A's to celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years all in 4 short days. We really packed it in! I got in Thursday night and got settled and caught up with Amy, Aaron and Alexis. Early the next morning Aaron and I went to Snowbird for a day of snowboarding. It was beautiful up there ...from what I could see. It was a blustering day and the snow/sleet came pouring down for much of the day. At one point we couldn't even really see and would randomly hit a snow pile because there was no depth perception. It was pretty amazing to be able to snowboard at one of the top snowboarding locations in the US. Later that afternoon we headed home and my parents were at the house and had recently arrived. That night we got dinner at a great Central American restaurant, delish.
Saturday morning we woke up to Amy making us omelets. Then the boys had a Big Lebowski day of bowling, drinking, and discussing how the rug really tied the room together.
The girls had a shopping day at the outlet mall! There were some good deals and it was just fun to shop with the girls! Even Alexis had fun. Here we are at lunch.

Alexis ate her doll's hair for lunch.

That night we played Upwords & eucher while eating Christmas cookies...yum!

Sunday was our "Christmas". We woke up and went to church. Lexi was entertaining and smiling at everyone around us :) Afterwords we ate an entire mass of Monkey Bread while listening to Alabama Christmas (as most Meier Christmas' go). Then presents!~
Preston got me an awesome gift! It's a certificate to make any print into a canvas. In addition I got a Preston "baseball card" and Preston bookmark. Can't beat that!

Lexi got books from the Meier's and grandma and grandpa. She loved them all.

I got dad a picture of us from the wedding!
G&G gave Lexi a princess baby, which she adored. She even puked on it to show her appreciation :)
Amy got from her KK (me) some Body shop goods that smelled wonderful.

Grandma made Lexi some adorable little animals for her Noah's ark gift she got last year. The rooster and crocodile were my personal favorites.
It was a beautiful day. Here is the view from right outside their house.

That night A&A had prepared a fondue! Complete with steak, shrimp, mushrooms, bread & cheese, and a nice salad.

On my last day in Utah we went to the fabulous Red Iguana for a Mexican lunch. Lexi loves dips and kept dipping her chips in some HOT salsa. She really loved the taste, but didn't know what to do about the heat. She heat making some pretty funny faces trying to deal with it while Amy was trying to get her to drink some milk to sooth the spice.

Then we went to a shopping area in Salt Lake before I had to be dropped off at the airport. There was a nice Christmas tree, photo op!

It was a fabulous time but I wish I could be with family on the REAL Christmas too! Maybe next year!

Merry Christmas everyone !!!
