Today's Blogging entry will deal with primarily Family Dinner. As of yesterday, we have held 3 family dinner occasions. The first week was held at Andy's apartment in downtown Seattle (Belltown). We decided to do it there because it was his last week before he moves North to Bothell. For dinner we had Chicken, Mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits and cheese & crackers. There were 5 of us total attending: Me, Chrissy, Andy, Kristin & Andrea.
The next week was less of a dinner and more of an event. The first Thursday of every month, there is a free local art show that takes place in a giant Studio/Apartment Building. A lot of local artists are there to show off their work and most of it is for sale. These ranged from absolutely beautiful to down-right scary. All in all it was a fun experience!
This last week's Family Dinner was held at Kristin's apartment in Capitol Hill. Each week we seem to be getting more and more people. There ended up being 8 of us total. Not only did we enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal from Kristin, but we also decorated eggs in celebration of Easter! We all had a good time and happened to make some stunning eggs. We even had a Blue Bunny Cake with Ice Cream for dessert. Pictures are below. (BTW, I was voted as having the overall best designed eggs :)

Another update includes the Sushi Eating Contest between Kristin and Matt. With over $40 spent on the sushi (about 32 rolls of smoked salmon, yellow tail and vegetable). All of them ended up being eaten. In the end, it resulted in a tie. Contrary to how they said they were feeling, I still feel they could have eaten more. There is a rematch planned in the future.

XXX Root Beer Car Show
So I am happy to announce that I was able to attend my first car event out here. It was a car show held at a local restaurant called XXX Root Beer. It is similar to an A&W Root Beer. There were a LOT of cars that had showed up (approx. 150). I got a chance to check out some very nice cars. Here are a few pictures I took from the event.

One one final note, we were able to finally get one wall of our living room completed. We put up a large shelf from IKEA above the TV. It took a little research into finding out what wall anchors to use, but we finally got it and it's solid. It fits perfectly with everything. For the other wall we had some 8x10s & 5x7's printed out as well as a large poster print of Seattle at Night. Once we get those up we will take a picture.
On a side note, we like to mess with people in our apartment complex. For example, this is how we stand in the elevator.
